We had another dry month as far as photos go, other than the trip to Madison this past Sunday. I took quite a number of photos over the past couple of days, which are available in this album along with a few others from earlier in the month.

We hopped in the car and traveled to Madison today. I’ve heard the city described as “Wisconsin’s San Francisco” or as “60 square miles surrounded by reality” but that didn’t scare me too much. December was a very busy month for the family. I’ve already posted photos from our late Halloween as well as for Joey’s Birthday and Christmas. We were able to get the kids out on their sleds a couple of times this first winter in Wisconsin.

Today proved to be very special. I managed to be awake when the kids got up and witnessed Joey’s first reaction: He ran out of his bedroom and into the living room and exclaimed, “Look at all this stuff!” The kids had an enormous quantity of gifts to open, shipped from far and [...]

This evening we set up the Christmas Tree and prepared the kids for Christmas Day. The kids helped us put up and decorate the Christmas tree. They definitely know that something is coming!

We celebrated Joey’s birthday today. There is something almost magical about the third birthday; so many toys, like Lego, Play-Doh and various board games become accessible.
